Each cell development project is complex and very unique, with an array of challenges and requirements. While our branded equipment line is populated with efficient, high quality solutions, they may not always be the correct solution for the job to be done. Our promise to each customer is that if you task us with sourcing a solution, or designing a process, line of equipment, or turn key facility, we will never push our own solutions if there is somthing else that may be a more perfect match for the project requirements.

Some of the factors we review when making equipment selections include (in no specific order):

• Vendor location
• Equipment Specifications
• Throughput rate
• Utility requirements
• Solution quality and vendor reputation
• Certifications available or needed
• Vendor service quality and availability
• Overall solution cost

If these factors favor a 3rd party solution over our own, we will not hesitate to recommend that 3rd party option.

Felix Machines guarantees that if you purchase a product through us, whether it is our brand or a 3rd party item, you will receive what you specified at the time of order, in an undamaged state. See below for additional rules and statements regarding this policy:

1. The Delivery Guarantee covers any purchase made directly through Felix Machines, but does not include purchases that were made by customers via a 3rd party. For example, if Felix Machines recommends a product to our customer, and the customer places the order directly with a 3rd party, this policy would not cover that purchase.
2. We do not offer refunds or returns on purchases, but we may provide replacement parts, repair services, or entire replacement units at no cost based on each unique circumstance.
3. Pending a review, shipping damage is eligible for repair or replacement at no cost to the customer if a claim is submitted within 4 days of delivery.
4. Manufacturer defects and missing items reported within 30 days of delivery are eligible to be repaired or replaced at no cost to the customer, pending a review.
5. Any damage occuring after delivery, damage resulting from incorrect installation, or resulting from usage not in accordance with the manual will not be covered under this guarantee.
6. It is the sole discretion of Felix Machines as to if a no cost solution is warranted, and what type of solution to offer each claim.
7. Claims must include a detailed description of the issue, and any images or relavent media that can support the submission. All claims can be submitted by email to info@felixmachines.com for review.

Our branded line of laboratory equipment is not CE or UL listed. We understand this can be a roadblock for some of our clients operating in areas that require certifications. for those clients requireing UL listed equipment we offer sourcing and planning services to ensure you maintain compliance. If our branded equipment is not the right fit for your facility, we have a wide network of partners globally that can likely provide equipment to fit your requirements. If you are not sure whether or not you need CE or UL listed equipment feel free to connect with us, we are happy to assist however possible.

Our equipment is primarily fabricated and assembled in China, with components being sourced globally. We have an outstanding relationship with our fabrication partner overseas, and work closely to ensure quality, reliability, and overall client satisfaction.

Shipping times have been improving steadily since 2020, and are currently averaging 2-8 weeks depending on time of year and the equipment being ordered. Variables that can effect delivery times include customizations of equipment, number of units being shipped, time of year, end destination, and shipping industry status. We always do our best to provide an accurate delivery estimate with each quote, however shipping can vary.

Yes! We offer our own line of pilot scale fabrication equipment, and have partnerships with producers of pilot and full production scale equipment internationally that have high quality solutions. We can assist in selecting the best suppliers, help guide your equipment planning, and interface directly with the manufacturers to ensure your project goes smoothly.

No, while we do offer many of the solutions required for a full laboratory scale line of equipment, we do not fabricate all of the equipment ourselves. For items not branded as Felix Machines, we select high quality and efficiently engineered equipment from reputable 3rd party vendors.

We spend a great deal of time and resources vetting our suppliers for quality. The 3rd party equipment we recommend to our clients must meet our standards for both quality and post-purchase support. We consider a 3rd party item recommendation to be an extension of our own line, and our own promise of quality and service.

Space required for a fully equipped coin and pouch cell fabrication lab can change based on how your floor plan is arranged, as well as the specific equipment you require. The minimum space we recommend for a functional lab would be 720ft². This does not include room for office space, restrooms, receiving and shipping, or other non laboratory related spaces. While 720ft² is the minimum required, we would highly recommend a facility with at least 25% more room than you think you will need. This allows for future growth requirements and last minute alterations.

Utility setup for laboratory or fabrication facilities can be very complex, and will vary based on location, equipment selection and many other factors. The basic utilities for a full laboratory based in the US will include:

• Electrical: 110V, 208/240V and possibly other requirements based on equipment selections
• Compressed Air: We can assist in selecting the optimum compressor size and peripheral setup
• Ventilation: Required for substrate coating, cell testing, and several other areas of the lab
• HVAC: Dedicated temperature controlled zones to ±1°C for lab space and cell testing are highly recommended
• Inert Gas Supply: We can assist in selecting the best operating gas, and help locate local suppliers
• Water: Utilized in some equipment such as sonicators and environmental chambers
